Fungal Nail Assessment

Discoloured, thickened, or crumbly nails aren't always fungal—so step one is to confirm what's going on. This appointment includes a clinical assessment and a rapid 5-minute fungal test to check for infection. We'll grade severity, discuss how many nails are involved, and outline treatment paths that match your goals: nail reduction/debridement to improve comfort and appearance, topical regimens and shoe-hygiene steps, and when to speak with your GP about systemic medication.

We'll set realistic timelines (nails grow slowly, so improvements take months), explain how to avoid reinfection, and schedule review points if needed. If fungal involvement isn't confirmed, we'll explain other causes (trauma, psoriasis, ageing) and adjust the plan accordingly. Available at Werrington and Woodston.
